What's wrong with this site?

I have purchased many games and visited the support sites for all of them that I could. I have noticed a HUGE difference between this site and almost all of the others.

Perhaps it is because you guys are independants and weren't properly trained on what these sites should do.

I'll clarify it for you since no one else has bothered (that I'm aware of).

A. These sites are where you should offer support and NEVER give it. Trust me, it's what all the sites by the major software companies do.

B.  You seem to believe (based on the problems, suggestions, and questions that I've seen and your responses) that you are to actualy HELP people. Crazy idea that proper training would beat out of you.

C. You actualy VALUE input from users and respect their ideas. More insanity.

D. And you even made a good game and IMPROVED it with the updates. Hideous behavior that calls for a thourough lashing.

E. And before we get a plethora of outraged posts in reply to this subject, be aware that it was all tongue in cheek.

It gets better... They're releasing mod tools, which will allow people to make mods that are free! Mods that SD and IC could have made serious money off!

Actualy, from what I have seen (having read and made MANY posts) is that they actualy DO value user input. This borders on heresy. They most assuredly are possesed.

LOL, nice one.

I get the sneaky suspicion SD is composed entirely of devs and support people that have gotten fired from all the other companies for actually doing their jobs. ;)

It's the only explanation why they have all these crazy concepts like "support the product", "Listen to customers," "don't include DRM software to annoy the user," "Have tech support actually support the game," Along with all those other silly concepts EA and the rest abandoned so long ago.

True, and Stardock is even more appropriate given the quote, but I figured that it was mostly IC's doing. But yes, we all know SD is responsible for part of this trend!
