This is my first time using this forum. I'd like to ask why is it that I have to create a topic twice to make it appear on the board? Also, I have to refresh the page every time after I post to see my own message.

You shouldn't need to do either. It could be that the site is just busy when you're using it, so things may be a bit slow.
