Starting game impossible without reinstalling every time.

Every time I want to play,  I cant just start!  The first screen comes asking me to install the game.  What can I do to play without "installing" every time.

What happens if you try to run directly from the executable in the install folder? It's called "Sins of a Solar Empire.exe".

Sounds like a registry key that was supposed to be written to indicating that the game was installed correctly may not have full write access. Hollow Man's idea sounds like it would work, if it does, just create a shortcut to it on your desktop.

Might have to do some digging in the registry and find out what constitutes as "installed" by the games definition.

AFAIK, the installer on the disk is just that. Since the disk isn't required to play, I don't believe it actually detects/launches the game if you use it. You should just be able to start the game from the executable, like Hollow Man suggests.
