Sins Admirals

Sins Admirals is a mod for Sins of a Solar Empire with the aim of changing gameplay and graphics to create a more fast paced and engaging RTS/4X game.

SA Features
+ Three completely different races, the Terran Republic, Jotun Tribes and the Rho Empire.
+ New ship types and features.
- Fleet consisting of Corvettes, Frigates, Destroyers, Cruisers and Assault Transports.
- Capitals consisting of Carriers, Battlecruisers, Battleships and Dreadnoughts.
- Super Capitals consisting of various Titan class super capitals.
+ Completely reworked research trees.
+ New research subjects.
+ New planet types and upgrades.
+ New + reworked abilites.
+ Reworked Culture system.

I'm currently working on this project myself. I have already completed the Terran Fleet ships and im testing the gameplay atm.

I am currently looking for modelers, designers, programmers and testers.

Here is a rough alpha version of Admirals Gameplay.

It includes the Terran (TEC) Fleet changes including Corvette, Frigate, Destroyer, Interdictor, Cruiser and Assault Transport.

Game Tips: Each ship counters the ship under it, so Frigates counter Corvettes, Destroyers counter Frigates etc. Corvettes are very effective against countering Cruisers and Assault Ships.

Everything scales, so imo mixed fleets are more effective. Playing with Large Fleets is optimal for testing.

I haven't completed any models yet, just sketches and game mechanics.

I will have some of the sketches up soon.

I don't mind testing, but you first post is a bit confusing. It soulds like you have modeled and textured the first set of ships

Sounds...ambitious. You do know that you'll have to wait for mod support before you can do some of those things, right?

All of these are possible with what we have now, and I've implemented them all in various fashions (except the Culture thing).

Yeah it is a long term project and many of things i want to do will have to wait for the full modding tools.

In the meanwhile.

I am a programmer/artist/designer/newbie modeler. I know i can't do everything alone so i'm just going to get the ball rolling.

This is the most basic ship for the Terran Republic, the Normandy Class Corvette. (All Terran ships are named after famous battles ;) )

That is _extremely_ low-poly. I would imagine much more detail on the front-end as well as the top side (what looks like a bridge?) would make it look a lot better.

Remember, better to take your time.

I'm a designer/project manager not a modeler ;)

But i know what you mean. This is the first time i've ever touched a modeling program let alone make a model so i still need some practice.
