Look, since there seems to be an apparent lack of maturity going on here right now (regardless of your chronological/intellectual age) let me just say something. First of all, I have been playing EVE for just about one year now and have thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I will also say that not once in my entire EVE career have I ever been victimized by any of these occurences nor do I know anyone that has. This is primarily because most of these traps are entirely avoidable if you have even the slightest bit of common sense and know-how, which even a noob can possess should they try. As for those that are not entirely avoidable, like gate camps for instance, they can be circumvented and I have done so on a myriad of occasions. As for more veteran players taking advantage of new players by destroying their new ships with other worthless ones, that is by no means a regular occurence in high security space, if only because most veteran players could care less and those that would try it often are unable to get the kill before being obliterated by Concord (police) which acts instantaneously. Besides, players can insure their ships so they don't lose as much money, which is what any intelligent person would do anyway. As for your getting banned for what you deemed an unsuitable reason in lieu of other more supposedly "vile" practices, please allow me to inform you of a little fact of life. By downloading and playing the game you are in fact required to play by the rules outlined. If you don't like or find them unfair, you don't have to play the game, no one's forcing you. If you want to play the game but don't like the rules, well tough luck, suck it up or get out. Coincidentally, that's how the real world operates as well, who'd have thought? In closing, please allow me to say that while internet forums are an excellent medium for channeling your frustration at life, please be considerate of other people who by virtue of not having lives (I jest of course) are forced into reading your misleading and misdirected tyraid.
Well, since you never saw it, guess it must not be true huh? Lemme ask you something. Have you ever seen the continent of Antarctica? No? Guess it doesn't exist then. Logic is fun.
Your claims of "common sense" mean nothing in Eve. I spend all my time in the game in the newbie channels and noobie area, and the same circumstances happen day in and day out, nonstop. What you fail to see, with your one year old blinders on, is that your current position the game is overshadowing your own experience when you were new. You are more than likely in low sec space the vast majority of the time. I highly doubt that you came into the game with the foreknowledge of greifer tactics, insurance, and even how to fit your ship. And trust me, I see (or saw) the affliction I coin "veteran's disease" every day. You claim may be true, but it is most definitely an exception, and not the rule.
In fact, I suspect you of being one of those people in Eve who tries to get new players into the game by painting the picture of Eve being such a warm and fuzzy game, then getting on TeamSpeak to call your buddies into Nalvula. But... something like that would never happen in Eve, right?
I'm fully aware of the EULA and its implications. I never said my banning was unsuitable, merely ironic. You know, because everyone follows every rule in the EULA every day, even the Devs, right?
