Couple of things:

- Make sure your game is updated to 1.04. The out of the box version has no mod support.

- Make sure they're in the right path. If you have a simple mod called "Test" for example, your path should look like C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods\Test\GameInfo

The game displays mod folder names in the mod selection, so if you're not seeing anything (in the above example the game would show Test as the mod name) that likely means the folder wasn't properly created. You need to keep the same folder structure, so you have the mod name folder which contains GameInfo, String, Texture, etc - whatever the mod uses. Can't just leave a mishmash of files :)

Hope this helps. If it doesn't, please post the screenshot of your windows explorer opened up with the full mod path so I can see what it looks like.

What if I cannot find the file "C:\Users\*\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods"? Also, I have been unable to play maps I have created in galaxy forge. Are those also supposed to be in this folder?

If you can't find it, chances are you didn't toggle "Show hidden" in Explorer :) That path is also Vista-specific. If you're using XP, your path will be:

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\

Maps created in Galaxy Forge need to go into the Galaxy folder where you installed Sins :)

If you're looking in the right location, then you're probably running v1.0 of the game. Update it and you should have the modding options.

I have my mods in the mod folder and they show up in the game, but when I enable one and start a single player game, they don't work. I've tried this with the minimalist interface mod and the Star Wars mod and neither seem to do anything. What simple thing am I overlooking?

Once again, my mods are in the exact folder and file path and show up in the game. I'm using v1.05.

Thanks-
