Can't install 1.04 Patch

When I try to install the 1.04 patch I get the following error: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Drengin.net\sins.   

Please make sure you have the game installed.

This update installation will now exit."

 

I haven't had any problems playing the tutorials up to this point, but the update seems to think I haven't installed the game. I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate X64, and the game is installed on an external SATA 3.0GB Hard drive.

Did u install using Stardock Central?

If the registry keys are missing, try reinstalling the game.

I'm having the same issue with the 1.05 patch and now for some reason I can't uninstall. Grrr... X-(

Well when did you get it? You probably downloaded the latest version.

the original poster said he had it installed on a external hard drive.
Had the system been recently formatted or had a reg cleaner or something used, might have removed the key hence the update dont work.

Or just re-download the game through SD.net for the latest fully patched game.
