downloading mods

ok im kinda a noob and need help. ive downloaded a mod i want (sins plus) but i dont know were to save it. i have a windows xp

Mods go here:

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\

The path is hidden by default, so you may need to toggle show hidden in Explorer. Also be careful to extract with folders. I'm not sure what the actual name of the Sins Plus folder is in the archive, but for example it should look something like:

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods\Sins Plus\ where Sins Plus contains String, GameInfo, Texture, etc folders and each of those with their appropriate files.
