game crashes at tehe start menu

i was using windows xp and played teh game perfectly, then i decided to upgrade to vista business.

i reinstalled sins, and ran it with the latest x800gt gfx drivers and everythime i click on any option, "single player" "multiplayer" "options" "quit". the thing just hangs. sometimes it goes into tutorial mode, some times it goes into the correct option after a very very long time when when i click something it hangs again

 

anyone having the same problems? anyone can help?

i did some testing and found out something weird. the game seems to hang when im using it. but when i alt tab out, it unfreezes and when i alt tab back into it it enters the option but then hangs again.

example. im in the sins window, i click options, it hangs, i alt tab out and then back again and it enters options then hangs, i click quit options it hangs, i alt tab out and alt tab back and then im back at the sins menu and then it hangs again.

it seems that when its running in the background its doing fine, but everytime i bring it to the foreground it hangs. also, sometimes the screen becomes black i i have to find my way round blindly

it sucks i cant get mine ether all it does is says is out of date when i have version 1.5
