maps with chokepoints

    I'm having a lot of difficulty taking on 2 or more hard AI players. I keep reading recommendations to play maps with chokepoints for easier defense.

Could you guys please name some small and medium maps with good chokepoints?

Did you lock the teams so that the AI can't form alliances? Also, when you reload a saved game you might need to check the Game Options to make sure the teams are still locked.

Thanks for the advice, i have had some games where they all gang up on me.

And a good medium sized map with some chokepoints is "Fulcrum".

Just played a game against two AI with the teams locked. It was REALLY EASY. Too easy.

My main dislike of it was that i also can't set up alliances. I like to complete some missions for the weakest player then ally with them to team up against the strongest. Eventually the one i'm allied with becomes very strong so i due missions for someone else and team up against my old ally. Locking the teams completely removes this type of play.

who uses chokepoints? The game is hardly designed for that. I either fill all my planets with defenses or none at all hehehehe.
