Halo vs. sins of a solar empire

little too familiar me thinks

Anyone ever notice that sins is just like halo? whats left of the human race fighting against a high tech alien force bent on galactic domination...   Hmmm phase jump vs. Halo's "slipspace"? This game even has the equivilant of Halo's longsword fighters. personally I think it would be really cool if they made a Halo online strategy game similar to sins.

They aren't even close.

The covenant in Halo are a bunch of races, not humans like the Advent.

Also slipspace can only be used by humans to jump from star system to star system, not planet to planet. Sure the covenant can but thats because of Forerunner equipment.

The longsword fighter is also a stretch to compare to the fighters of the TEC.

Sorry close but not really.

Well, if you wanted to get carried away with it, you could probably find parallels between the Sins storyline and many other futuristic "Man vs Universe" Sci-Fi epics. It's nothing new, nor is it a convention restricted to SoaSE or HALO.

Besides, HALO is overrated garbage that I'd rather forget about. Never in my life have I seen such a thoroughly average shooter attract so much attention. It's not bad, I guess, but it is remarkably undeserving of the praise it gets, and there's a lot out there that is superior to HALO by leaps and bounds. this review fairly well echoes my sentiments about the HALO series.

(Sorry I got a bit carried away with the HALO hate but it's a huge pet peeve of mine  )

Then there's the fact that Halo is horribly mediocre and boring, as opposed to Sins, which whilst it lacks a campaign requires far more skill, is a lot more engaging, and (unlike halo) seems to lack 12 year old boys yelling "FAGGGGGGOT" through my speakers every time they lose...

and thats why i'll never play xbox live

while i do like halo it doesnt deserve the rep it has honestly its just another fps clone

as for sins being comparable you can say that for almost every game out there and its not really anyones fault its just that pretty much everything has been done and all thats left to do is make clones, sure the games are all a bit different but when it comes right down to it they are all built on a basic idea that has already been done many times

Somebody shoot me.

I wanna play an earth invasion game from the point of the aliens for once. AND it's based around the aliens. It isn't just some nansy-pansy side campaign. I want full on EARTH DOMINATION!!!!!!!

Then might i suggest Universe At War:Earth Assault, as that is the Exact premise, humanity isn't even a proper faction, its just something there to get blown up in a variety of interesting ways.
