just got the game, wondering why the tutorial is lower framerate

I have a good rig, its an 8800gtx, 3.4 e6600, 4 gig ram vista x64

I was a little concerend with my frameartes as using fraps it was going down to 30 fps at times, just in the tutorial. but then i strated  a game and it seemed ok, though i didnt build anything, just zoomed and changed angle etc, but it didnt drop into 30's- isntead it stayed at 60 (vsync must be on by default).  Anyway, am i allright, is this just the tutorial which does this?

 

settings are all maxed, with aa on 2, latest drivers and game.

probably just because the tutorials are forced fed from the game. the game itself runs great on many system even older ones.

1022MB of RAM and a 128MB video card and I'm doing alright.

...at least until I get my Über Battle Fleet of Quaking Doom. 100 Kodiaks moving around on-screen and I'm in the 10FPS area - at best.
