A Homeworld Mod?

for those how dont know what Homeworld is, it is a game that came out in 1999 and won several awards. If you want more information here is a link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homeworld. It also came out with two sequals,Homeworld: Cataclysm, and Homeworld 2. here are there links for Cataclysm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homeworld:_Cataclysm, for Homeworld 2 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homeworld_2. I belive this could be a good idea for a Mod.

But before I get ahead of my self I want to know if this could work. So I would appreciate your view on this idea of mine

It could. Why not. Just watch out for C&D letters. You may find relic shutting You down, since Homeworld is such a prizey IP.

a HW mod would be awsome. Unfortinituly it would be alot of work, and I think that the hard-coded limits would severly....limit it.

Maby you could do it based off of pre-exile.

I was just telling my idea and seeing if anybody wanted to do it. I do not know how to Mod.

Not all of them. Homeworld is so similar in gameplay mechanics to Sins, at least as opposed to a majority of the other mods, I can't see any reason why a Homeworld mod would be a good idea.

Actually, Sins of a Solar Empire is more of an epic strategy game as opposed to the more tactical aspects of Homeworld. So yes, I would like to see epic strategy implementation of Homeworld onto SoaSE.

I would like to see this mod made, but I can't do much, and even if I could, I'm kinda dedicated to the Halo mod. Not only that, I know little to none about Homeworld

While a cool mod it would be you would run into too many problems to make it worth the effort. Aside from relic sending C&D letters you cant duplicate the fighter tactics or formations in sins. Cap ship combat seems similar as they stop to fight in both sins and Homeworld/HW2

Whatever happened to the homeworld mod thread? Did relic finally shut it down? If so that's sad since I totally updated the ship names and research lists so that the corect ships showed up.
