faster game?

Is there anyway to speed up the game? I have fast ship speed, fast research, etc all checked, but the game still takes forever to play.

You could always make a mod that speeds up everything. But there's nothing short of a mod that you can do to speed it up past the fast settings.

Do you want the game to come to completion in less "Game Time", or are you trying to get more frames per second???


If the answer is "Less Game Time to Victory", then cut in half all defenses (shields, hull, armor) and double all weapons power, firing rates, and antimatter restore rates... ...you will soon be cutting through enemy fleets (and they will be doing the same to you, Do'h!!! :NOTSURE:

You can give more ships Siege powers and Colonize abilities, this should make it really easy to take planets over...

Play as the Empire in the Starwars mod (and don't let the computers be the Empire!)

reprogram it so that you own all the resource extractors as start :)

The gameplay constants file has a bunch of speed variables which you can change.

Search for "buildSpeedData-Slow" and you'll see a bunch of different speed variables.
