ConvertXSI

Hey guy's, im attempting to play with the ConvertXSI tool which is what i guess you use to re-mold your fuesalage of your spacecraft or just create new ones, anyway i cant get the thing to work even once i get all of the .dll's that were missng for it it runds the command prompt box then closes anyone know whats going on with this by any chance?

Well, first, you should probably have read the documentation. ConvertXSI is running fine. It's a command-line tool that converts dotXSI files(from the XSI modeling program) into mesh files the game can read. All the needed information is in the Mod Package documentation.

Yeah, you can't just run it through Windows. Open a command prompt (run cmd). cd (change directory) into the folder where you've got ConvertXSI. Then type "ConvertXSI.exe

hmm well its still not working and if there had been any documentation with it i would have read it but considering all i got was half the .dll's i guess im just not as lucky as you =/ cmd romtp tell me the program cant be recognized as a program internal or external nor operable program , batch fil =(

Luck pretty much has nothing to do with it. Head to the Downloads link at the top of the page and click the "Forge Tools [Beta]" link. The archive that downloads has the map editor, particle editor, a set of flat-text versions of a bunch of the stock games files, ConvertXSI.exe and ConvertData.exe, along with readmes and a set of PDF documentation, all neatly arrayed.
