Vista Hang

I have never been able to get a game going on my machine. I'll get to the map, I see some ships, and I can zoom out, but cannot zoom in, or interact with any object in game. Vista Home Premium 64 Service Pack 1 (so i have the 940105 patch referenced in another post) GeForce4 8800 GT - 175.16 drivers Sins 1.05.028 Single Player Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks
