Strange problem locating Mod folder

Hello,

I recently got this game and have been enjoying it greatly. I felt like mods would improve the lasting fun.

But Im having a strange problem.. I cant seem to locate the mod folder I followed the path suggested by the manual and posts but I cant seem to locate it. I go into my documents and setting and searched all the user folder but I cant locate the local settings folder or application date folder. I tried to use the built in search software for xp and the search found nothing for "local settings" "ironclad" "application data". Yes, I did put the search to look in hidden folders aswell. I tried going into the user folders and changing the settings to "show hidden" i click apply and ok. but if i go back to confirm that its showing hidden the option is still on "do not show hidden" not matter how many times i try.

I have no idea whats going on or what to do but it seems as if even the "local settings" folder and "application data" folder dont exist..

Any and all help will be much appreciated.

C:\Documents and Settings\your username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\

Please note that some of these directories are hidden by default. To unhide them, go to Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View and set yourself to view hidden files and folders.

It *will* be there. The Local Settings and Application Data folders can't very well not exist, since they're windows system folders. :)

On my Vista machine it's:

C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods\

Please note you still have to set it to view hidden files.
