No longer working

I bought this last week - instaled it - ran fine.  The only thing that wasn't working right was the galaxy forge thingy where I had set up one planet to be Player0's home planet in one particular galaxy file and the game kept giving me another default whenever I chose that scenario.  Anyhow -- yesterday the game was still working but today I launched it and it crashed every single time I tried to select that map I edited..

So I removed the game and reinstalled it.  It's now crashing whenever I launch it.

Whenever I try to run Sins This error message pops up:

C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Local\Temp\Sins
Dump\Sins-v1.00-2008-06-26-22-35-12-2120-2308.dmp

The game then proceeds to cease running and crashes out.

After this started I deleted all temporary files related to Sins, uninstalled the game, then reinstalled it; somehow, it continues to crash. Does anyone have a solution for this.

That's exactly the message I get. I can launch the game up to the starting menu but then each selection becomes very slow and when I try to change from small maps to medium maps that's when this happens.

I did the same steps as you: emptied the Caches, the Temp folders in Doc & Settings, removed & reinstalled the game... The one thing I didn't do is clean up the registry. I just hope I won't have to rebuild my PC because of this ...

Running XP SP2
.Net 2.0
Sins 1.05

If you have a clean reinstall updated to the latest and it crashes on start, please browse to the location listed in the error using windows explorer, get the newest .dmp file, and send it to [email protected]. They can analyze it and let you know if there's anything you can do to get it working.
