Modelling Questions

and a few others

Before I hurt my self trying to learn how to model I am going to ask a few questions.

1) I am going to use google sketch up, will Sins take it if I convert it into XSI?

2) If you can convert it to XSI, how do you use the converter?

3) What program do you use to skin?

If you have a means to export into a (valid) XSI format, then I don't see why the game and xsiconvert from the mod tools would object to using whatever modeler you choose.

Use of xsiconvert is covered in the modding tools docs.

Skinning your models is done by a combination of a graphics program (Photoshop, etc) and the modeler itself (applying the textures to the models).
