That is because it is in binary not the text form like people like to see...

The code used to be text, but it was changed...now you need a program from the forge tools to translate it..don't know which one because none work aside from Galaxy forge or at least for me...

Lemme' guess, you're new around here aren't you...or at least haven't posted much...There is a time-lag on all posts...I don't know if they have to be approved by a mod or if the server is just laggy, but that's the way it is...

Oh and just so you know, the mod guide is outdated...it is made for 1.00 not 1.05 so it won't be the best anyways...

I hear it has to do with having .net 2.0 which I don't think I have, but when I tried downloading it, it didn't work said it wasn't compatible but yah, I have a thread devoted to that so yah shutting up now before this turns into spam...

The forge tools require .NET 2.0 to run. If you cannot install it, what OS do you have, and are there any other .NET versions listed in add/remove programs?

You might also give 3.0/3.5 a shot then, also available on Microsoft's website.

Also, make sure you're running the other tools from the root Sins install directory. They have to be run from the same folder as where Sins of a Solar Empire.exe is located, if I remember right. Definitely the case with the developer .exe.

Or see this thread if it complains about a missing dll.
