My Sins Wishlist

Add the feature to let your close to dying capital ship to RAM another ships in a last ditch effort to eliminate the enemy and also, make them orbit the enemy when firing weapons. It's boring seeing them just sit there and fire.

Personally I'd like to see a more fleshed-out diplomacy system (more like what's in Medieval 2: Total War, where you can make demands to the other factions and such) and an improved black market.

I'd say I'd prefer a system like in the Total War series, but I've played too much of the Total War series to say that. :P

Total War dosn't have the best diplomacy thats for sure.

Diplomat from that tiny little 2 province faction you have massivly pounded on:
"Hi, we will destroy you if you don't give us 4000 of them gold coin things so we can build more pesants to man our armys and we want those territorys you took from us without even bothering to play the real time battle since you out-numbered us 10 to 1.
We are deadly serious. You cannot deny us how powerful we are. There is no escape!"

Next Turn:

"We really ment that last time btw, but because we are really nice we are only demanding 2000 gold now. We will overlook your last conquest of our second last territory and totaly murder of most of our royal family leaving only that drooling idiot "Van Dike Heriman De Offtard" in charge. You better take this seriously!"

Next Turn:

Tiny Little Faction Has been Destroyed!
You were able to crush thier once mighty empire into the ground, but you are sure more will take thier place!

Ramming sounds good.

What I really want is animatable turrets and engines that rotate to attack targets. I think it'd be a piece of eye candy if ships also kept moving as they attacked and went through each other's lines rather than the stop and shoot as we see now.

Yes, but that's an example of stupid AI, not a screwed up diplomacy system. The system itself is fantastic, the AI just doesn't use it well.

Yeah, ramming would be awesome    I can imagine it now...

"Captain, sir! We've almost destroyed the enemy Akkan battlecruiser, and their support vessels are all destroyed!"
"Very good Number One. Let's get out the beer and celebrate the deaths of all the nuns, puppies, and cute little babies in that colony ship!"
"Yes sir!"
.....
"Number One, what are they doing?"
"They're aiming themselves directly at us! Oh noes, it's a LAST DITCH EFFORT!!"
"Damn, I hate those"

Seriously though, if you wanted to ram an enemy, you'd want to do it for karmic retribution, if nothing else. Killing those babies... who shoots a colony ship anyway?
