For all the people that were saying they were having trouble with Impulse
downloading to XP64 bit and Vista 64bit with the error message saying it wasn't
compatible I have good news.
Last night a new staging went through to correct this problem. It wasn't
actually an Impulse error but the server it was communicating with sending the
wrong info. That has been corrected now and you should have no troubles. Even if
you were using the software late into the night/morning please give it another
go. If you have the same troubles at all we would like to hear about it right
It must of been just in the nick of time for me. I was installing impulse on my new dell vista 64bit laptop last night and I got no problem whatsoever!
Great work guys and girls
I have never had an issue with Impulse on my V64b system.
Yep new comp in Feb so Ill get a V64B. If its better than Windows Me ill bear the pain.
I don't know about XP or Vista 64bit, but I can confirm that both Impulse and Demigod both run flawlessly on Windows 7. In case anyone was wondering
I am running Vista 64 bit Ultimate with an Nvidia 260 and 8 GB of ram.
I couldn't get this game to run past the start screen.
I tested this today, Sunday, March 15 of 2009.
Has anybody else run into this problem?
You're in the Offtopic-->PC Gaming section.
I get this error when trying to download Gal Civ 2 Dread Lords, and Twilight. Demigod, Sins, run great.
I have had no trouble with my Vista 64 bit and Impulse. Not that that helps you.
Just to keep this thread up to date, I installed Impulse and through it Sins of a Solar Empire on my Windows 7 64-bit system with no problems whatsoever. Kudos!
maybe i missunderstood this but the OP did not talked about problems running impulse on 64bit. he talked about downloading it on a 64bit system.
Impulse should be good to go on every 64bit install except for XP 64.
Don't get Vista, get Win 7. If you're getting a new system it should come with Win 7 anyway. Trust me, it's a HUGE improvement over Vista. Win 7 has all the good aspects of Vista minus all the shit that makes Vista suck balls.
Think you are about to give yourself a big Homer DOH! You did realize his post was 15 months ago?
For some reason Sins of a Soloar Empire will not run on my 64bit comp. I have tried the original and the new Trinity and neither will run. Anyone know something that will help with this?
Which version of Windows is it that you are trying to run it on?Please download and run the following utility:http://sd.stardock.com/SDSupportTool.exeThis is a tool that we use to gather relevant log files and basic information about your computer. Once the utility finishes running, please send the .zip file it creates on the desktop to email@example.com so we can start to work with you on this.
Speaking of Impulse games....how come King's Bounty is not a Staff Pick?? Are you kidding? And the price is a steal.
I cant get impulse to work. i just spend most of the night trying. It keeps saying can not connect to sever and to check my inter net. my inter net is working fine. I have tryed reloading impulse many times now and i am about to give up on it and the game i just got. its trash if i cant play it. if anyone knows how to fix it please let me know. I am running on XP.
have you allowed impulse through your firewall?
yes i checked that to. i am at wits end here.
alsim, the best advice I can give at this point is to email firstname.lastname@example.org and give them all the information about your system including the antivirus, firewall, type of internet connection, windows version & whether it is x86 or x64, any error messages/popups etc. the more info the better the chances of sorting it out quickly.
Thanks will do.
