Novel?

I wonder if anyone at SD or IC has thought of getting someone to write a novel based on the backstory they've come up with for this game.  I'm an amateur writer myself, I think there's some good material there for a great story.

I think this is an excellent idea.
I have not the commitment even to call myself an amateur writer, but I would be glad to make small contributions to a novel, too...

I have been thinking the same thing. like a war story. Possibly with a non Advent hating TEC officer and a disilusioned Advent acolyte and maby a peace seeking Vasari ship captain working to stop an Advent cult from integrating psi-tech into a stolen Novalith cannon to create a galaxy desroying superweapon?

Almost every time it's been attempted it's come out as disastrous. The rule in this case is that they don't work.

Hey JamesP81, since you are a writer you could write the story and post each page here as you write it so that we could read the story and comment on it! You could post it say... weekley?

Why doesn't someone first write a novel as mentioned before using the back story all ready given ,as a outline , just flesh it out . You really have the histories of three empires to work with and that should be enough to see if there is continues interest. Then you can work on different scenerios for future books

Witchfire is writing a story called Saints of a Solar Empire. It is very good and can be found on the forums.
