Using Vengeance + Animosity is pretty effective, especially at higher levels. It takes a long time to kill the Radiance, especially if the entire enemy fleet is damaging its self at the same time.
Other combinations are Malice + cleansing brilliance, though this is now more difficult to pull off well. Malice is still good though, a very useful ability.
Keeping the Halcyon carrier around with illuminators is good, it increases their rate of fire. This is good for all of your ships of course, but even better for illuminators (because of the range, already high damage per second, and side beams).
Guardians should be in every fleet you make, but they are especially effective when paired with strike craft. This results in complete pandemonium, and entire enemy fleets getting destroyed with minimal damage to you.
Basically, almost all of the Advent ships and abilities have some type of synergy that makes them awesome - and most of these aren't even hard to find. Just play around with them for a while.
