Ok, this is kind of weird. I will be playing a multiplayer game with my friend who is also patched fully, and the last few games it will drop one of us with no warning at all and I guess the computer just takes control of the dropped player. The only way I can tell is if they are dead in the diplomacy window when they shuldn't be.
We can see text messages we send and even trade credits back and forth it's almost like we are only partially in the same game. So we will be playing along thinking we are in the same game but it's actually a computer thats playing the other person. So once we discover we are not together we are far into the game and it stinks because you can't fix the issue aside from starting a new game.
This has happened 3 seperate times on a 4 player map (2 computer 2 human). Has this happened to anyone else? The most frustrating thing is there usually is no warning and no notice that the computer has taken control (or at least it seems that way) of the other player.
