Can't find where a mod is supposed to go...

Forgive me in advance for the stupid question, but...

Hey all,
Forgive me for the stupid question in advance, but I found a mod ot two that I want to try out (Updated Unit Cap Mod for example, there's a couple of others).  I follow the directions on the mod, but I am not seeing the folder that I am supposes to put the mod in.  I have version 1.05 and Microsoft Vista.  I have all of my folder not hidden, so I tried to put them in the mods folder by going through the steps for that, but I am still at a loss?  Any advice??

Also, when I try and put the mod into any folder (just to be sure it can go somewhere), the game just ejects, plain and simple.

it kinda is complicated this is where mine is

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner.James\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods
but if you try and get there manually you can only go as far as owner you gotta type the rest on my comp

On my Vista system it goes like:

C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods

Instead of typing when you can't see the folders, you can go to:
Tools menu - Folder Options - View tab - select Show Hidden Files and Folders.
