How do you add weapons to capitol ships?

I started dabbling in modding Sins tonight, and I just wanted to add another weapon to the Kol, but when I changed the number of weapons from 3 to 4, it said that I needed a programmer.  Literally, that's what the error said. :)  So how can I add another weapon?

You need a programmer, as in the devs need to open up the limits.

Currently ships can have 3 weapons, 1 planet bombing weapong and 4 abillites in total.

Most of the time this is enough but I don't like any limits (or more 'resonable' limits at least like 10 weapons or something).

Well he can't do anything about the way the engine is set up, so he is just telling you so you know. Honestly I don't like it either, because I'm making a new class of ships but one would think they would have more than just three weapon systems.

But just so you know, its not literally three weapons it is three weapon arrays. weapons in the same array will have similar properties like firiing direction and possible linked targeting.

You can switch linked targeting on and off in the weapon settings (its called synchronisedtargeting or something).

You can make more weapons via abilites but on cap ships thats pretty useless since they are already full.

Yah unless of course one ability is a main cannon like the Radiance's Cleansing Brilliance...
