How will version 1.1 affect modding?

Hi guys a quick question, I was wondering if I should continue my mini mod or wait until 1.1 beta, I am not sure whether my mod will work with 1.1.
Anyone know if current mods will work with 1.1 and if I edit gamedata text files they will still be relevant in 1.1?

well considering you have to update for every new version anyhow, why not continue? (unless they changed something while i was absent with modding)
