Too dark to see anything!

Is there any way to re-generate the "background" of the map you're in? I've played one that was light blue, and now I'm on a black-background and I hate it! I can't see any of the ships properly, which is one of the best parts of the game. I feel like I'm controlling icons representing black-on-black graphics.

I have no idea how to go about doing what you are asking, but as a different solution, lots of players find it easier to view your ships, buildings, and the battlefield, using the "Grid" overlay.

You can find it in the option for the grid in the User Interface section, on the left hand side.

Hope that helps if you are willing, sure helps me make sense of things a lot easier.

Checking and unchecking the deep skybox options tends to reset the skyboxes for me.

If you don't like the dark backgrounds, simply disable the deep-space option in the settings.
