Great game, one gripe.

Hi all,

Loving the SOASE demo, will be purchasing the game today.

My only gripe is the stationary ships. Is there a tactic command or something to set them to maneuver or an option in the gameplay settings somewhere?

Just feels like the combat is missing movement.

What do you think?

Yeah, they tend to get to their place and then don't move unless they start moving to chase down an enemy ship or go after an enemy structure (assuming you have auto-attack on and that they aren't set to only attack things in firing range and no move and follow your direct micromanage orders).

There are a few options for fleet movement (must create fleet)

left of the create fleet button,there are two more buttons...

SET ENGAGEMENT RANGE:
option1:Gravity well
option2:Hold position
option3:Local area

SET FLEET COHESION:
option1:All standard
option2:All loose
option3:All tight

Dont know if that helps....other than that,you could put all fighters in one fleet,LRM's in a seperate fleet,and so on,and put each fleet where you want them,and then give them each different engagement options (grav well,hold pos,local area).

seems pretty flexible..
