Cannot save

Im new at modding and ive read the tutorial so im pretty sure how to do it now but there is just one problem. When im done changing the files i try to save them and it says access is denided or it either says that the path or file name is inncorrect. So if anyone could help me that would be great.

which files are you talking about, if they are files from the game or with forge tools then they might be set as read only, right click on the file properties and then uncheck read only, it should alow you to save the files, thats if you are eddting text files. otherwise you need to specify wich, also make sure you are not savinf while a program is useing this file like photshop, sins or XSI.

Yeah i figured it out i had it set to read only...so now i feel like a noob.

Too true. Just the other day, I had to go to an admin at my college and admit I couldn't log on; I'd forgotten my password. He came over and deleted the space in front of my user name and I was in. D'oh.
