How do you get more capital ships? I try to make more but when i do, it says that i dont have the right research to do so. Can someone tell me how to make more?

Check the research screen, there is a fleet tab on the left along with the military or economy tabs. The top row of icons are research for the number of capital ships you can have. The bottom row of icons are for the fleet supply number of points you have.

You'll probably need to research at least once in both rows to obtain more than one capital ship.
