Whats the chance of a Honorverse Mod?

I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with David Weber's Honorverse series, but it seems to be begging for an adaptation to this game, the ships are very durable, with long combat times needed to remove them from combat, the only downside that i can see, is how to implement the impeller wedges

this is a game already being based in that universe.

Low, unfortunately.

As much as I would love it i don't think there is enough interest. The impeller wedges and missile pods would be hard to do.

For missile pods, just look at the Tech Missile Batteries.
The wedge could be done graphically, but wouldn't be able to effect gameplay (such as raming a Q ship).
As for it actually happening, everyone seems to have their own pet mods. If you are really interested, start working on it yourself. I'd like to see what you come up with.
But like I said, I have my own pet mod.

extremely low, no such thing as impeller bands and no way to implement them the way their used in the series. The ship to ship combat is more like star wars or battlestar galactica than the honorverse. A lot more micromanagement would be involved.

I would think the missile pods could be done fairly easily, just generate several TEC missile batteries for each battleship. Then after one shot, they could probably be made to blow up. You could have an SDP (see below,) where you simply create/buy more pods.

I'd like to see something like the laser heads implemented if even just graphically.

I have a thread here regarding Electronic warfare, but the response was fairly luke-warm.

I'd think it'd be fairly easy to set up shrike (all versions), ferrets, SDPs (Super Dreadnoughts, Pods) CLACs (which could already exist as carriers.) A person could also create some of the bigger weapons: Grasers, Grav Lances. Energy Torpedoes and MDMs would be easy if all you want is the greatest range available. But I'm pretty sure this game is not enough of a sim than would truly be required for a faithful translation (duh).

I'm also hoping that there would be some way to eventually figure out a way to bring true missile point-defense to the table.

All of that being said, I would love the opportunity to get involved with a group of people who are willing to bring this about.
