I think they're all connected to each other automatically. Not entirely sure, though.

If you're talking about gas giants and the like, then the game needs to be modded.

Only if you design the map that way. Just make sure the stars are connected to the planets.

Yep, like Kitkun said, all stars are automatically connected by the game engine. Don't need to do anything about it ;)
