Only 3 people online?

I got this game earlier this week and messed around with single player vs AI games just to get a feel for how things work.

Tonight, I logged on to multiplayer to find only two other players, both unresponsive, and not another soul in sight.

Is this normal?

I'm not expecting the kind of numbers that, say, C&C has...but for a game that's supposedly one of this year's best-sellers, there's got to be more people looking for multiplayer matches.

Even a dead RTS like BFMEII still has about 50 people online at any given time and you can get a game within 20 minutes or so on most nights. But Sins multiplayer seems like a ghost town. What gives?

As I understand it, Sins doesn't show games in progress. Plus, it's easier to get a game running if you log on during afternoons U.S. time. Also, Sins does tend to take longer.

It is not normal if that is all that is logged in(in my experience - playing Australian evening + weekend during the day).
It is normal if that was all there was in the lobby as the other people were playing games.
There is a counter in the top right corner that shows how many are online. If they are not actually in the lobby, then they are in game. Hope that helps.

You probably didn't get an ICO (Inronclad Online) account, and those two people where on LAN with you.

I also notice that the player quality drops off a cliff around that time, too many casual gamers who go straight for MP without learning SP.

We need to get the Koreans on Sins, those guys are hardcore!

That's funny; it seems to me that it's the other way around; the really good players show up during North American prime time.

I've notice a huge amount of people in the lobby lately especially from 6PM to like 3 AM.
So Centurion is right

If you are running beta 1.09 then there will only show a few players on Iron clad. Revert back to 1.05 and you should see about 100 players online at any given time.

I am chilling with 1.095 right now, I would rather get use to the new stuffs before the big bad patch drop later of this month.

In my experience 2-12 people in the lobby1 is normal, of course most of them unresponsive. People come, people join games, people go.

There's other ways of hooking up for games than just going online in ICO. You could schedule games via forums or IRC.

It seems like users of entrenchment are logging into the same lobby, but the people who haven't purchased it are unable to join/host/play games with them. There should be some kind of differentiation between the two, like a separate lobby.
