Few questions about gameplay etc

Was wondering if anybody could help me answer a few questions i had.

1. Do i need to keep my Research buildings after i research everythign i need?  I Know i need the research buildings to consturct/build items that require the set amount but does like the resource bonus or other things that have been researched at say 8 buildings get eliminated when i lose the buildings?  ( i just tested it and i think i dont)

2. Is there a shortcut to create/load a new Map?  Like in Gal Civ 2 itd be CTRL N.  For the purposes of resetting maps at the start to get a good spawn?  i dont enjoy going through the entire player setting page adjusting every thing again for every reload i do. 

 3. when i highlight my credit income, there is a white bold line that links several of my planets.  IM guessing this coudl be a trade or something link but the thing is I have trade ports on all linked planets and the white line just links 4 of the 6

Answer #1: Yes and No.

Yes, If the research is a Structure or a Ship and it says "GRANTS ACCESS TO" then if you destroy the research stations, you loost the ABILITY TO MAKE that, if you allready have some of whatever it is THEY WILL NOT self destruct but you still cannot make more.

No, if you research an upgrade, even if you loose a research station you keep the upgrade.

Answer #2: I do not know, if there is it would be in the keybindings section of the menu.

Answer #3: The line is your LONGEST CHAIN, each planet in that line get increased credit income from trade ports.

anybody have answers to question 2?

got a new one also, does anybody know the... auras from the numerous capital ships stack with each other? i think im rolling a game with those carriers that have the damage aura wonder if it was worth getting it on every carrier

In question 2 you're asking about having the options for the AI players "remembered"? so that you don't have to re-do everything?

As far as I know, the answer to question # 2 is no.

i think the one i was looking at mostly was the Amplify Energy Aura on haclyon carriers for advent?

Most buffs in Sins generally don't stack, it's always the strongest one that's in effect.

Ah. Note to self: Progenitor isn't a carrier.

Oh, and I don't think Amplify Energy Aura stacks. A few do, but most don't.

I have seen some buffs stack, but just 2. But I think it was a Positive Self Buff and a Negitave opponet buff.
