HDTV resolution problem

Hi everyone, i bought the game 2 days ago and i friggin LOVE it,i am trying to get it to work on my tv but even after modifying the settings file,nothing.the tv is a 50" viera 1080p with 1920x1080 resolution,tried several times with different resolutions.thanks for your help.
