Depends on what you are using. Example: Light frigates with antimatter damaging upgrade. A threat if you are using lots of support ships, less so if you are not.

Advent:

1)Iconus Guardians(Shield projection)
2)Disciples(Antimatter Steal)
3)Illuminators(Spam)

Vasari:

1)Subverters(Intra-System jump thingy)
2)Skirmishers(Interference)
3)Enforcers(Inertia Field)

It really depends on whether or not your playing single or multi player. I've never played multi player, so I couldn't tell you anything about that.

I only play single....with Vasari do you also have to take out phase gates so they can't use RA?

with Vasari do you also have to take out phase gates so they can't use RA?
End of quote

That will work on a single system, it will also slow down their backup. But really you want to destroy their labs. Without enough of those they loose the RA ability.

Yeah...

It depends if your on the offence or defence.
If Defence with BIG army upgraded, then target:
1:Carrier Caps
2:Carrier Frigates
3:Bombardment ships

The reason for this, is you want to keep your structures alive. The most efective
ship for destroying structures is the bomber (Carriers). And you want to keep ur
planet, so, yeah.

Offence:
1:Vasari Enforcers, Advent Crusaders
2:Support cruisers (Subverter, Subjacator, Overseer)
3:Long range frigates and basic frigates

My spelling isn't great, so don't bother me about that.

It depends on your situation, but if I'm against Vasari, I *always* neutralize the Subverters and Overseers first if I can. I usually use the Dunov's EMP charge to remove their anti matter rather than attempt to destroy all of them. Once they've been EMP'd, I concentrate on Enforcers first and Assailants second. Once they're gone it's easier to mop up the support cruisers, carriers, and capital ships.

Advent:

1. Guardians (Shield Bubble and Repulse)
2. Capital Ships (Any Advent Capital ship is a huge threat and huge loss if destroyed)
3. Illuminators/Destra Crusaders, whichever he's made

Vasari:

1. Subverters (Previously touched on)
2. His Egg (provided he built the Evacuator Capital Ship)
3. His Assailants/Enforcers/Other Caps

Advent.

1. Capital ships : Such as mothership or carrier, they influence battle more than Guardians.
2. Guardians : see others' post.
3. Disciples : antimatter problem.

Vasari.

1. Subverters : Or they will permanently stun your entire fleet easily.
2. Subverters
3. Subverters
4. Subverters
.....
10. Enforcers : field thingy
11. Capital ships : after this take others as usual.

I say Guardianas first because they make anything and everything in the fleet a whole lot toughter. So tough to the point that it's actually about the same as giving everything a +50% total Health/Shield boost.

Capitals need to go, there's no denying that, but I have a hard time arguing against getting the Guardians first. You'll eliminate them quicker and hurt the Advent fleet more.

I say +50% because since the shield bubble shifts 1/3 of the damage from one target to itself, your fleet that's shooting at the non-guardian target is doing 66% of it's potential damage. That means it will take you 50% longer to kill off that target. Having 33% of the damage to a ship "negated" really is like giving it a 50% health boost. See what I mean? You can't leave Guardians alone, ever.

yes, but isn't focus firing on the guardian giving the rest of the advent fleet 100% damage shield mitigation for that period of time instead of just 33%? :p
