Metal and crystal rate suddenly slowed down

Muh?

Hello! Just got this game and I began to play a little multiplayer game as TEC vs Advent. I researched everything about resources and at least the crystal rate was about 2 units per second. Then, after loosing and recapturing planets (the all prosper now) i saw that the rate was down to 1 unit per second. The metal rate is even down to about 0,75 units per second. I can't tell the exact numbers, just assuming.

Short: The rates were higher and then got lower, what controls this?

Thanks in advance!

Did you upgrade the planet infrastructure? Planets are a drain on your income until you upgrade a certain amount of levels.

I think that was only suppose to hurt credit income?

Did you research any fleet upgrade?

Yeah i researched fleet upgrades, if you mean the fleet capacity and capital ship capacity. Does the upkeep drain other resources than credits?

I've upgraded the planets so that they are able to support max populaition and max logistics slots, i haven't upgraded anything else on them because my resource rates are so slow.

Read the income screens carefully - they tell you how much is being earned by each planet, and how much is going on fleet upkeep, and how much is going into your coffers for doing stuff with...

If you have lost some labs, the researched techs that no longer have the required number of labs lose all their effect until you rebuild the labs.

Thanks for all the help!

I found the problem. My capital planet had been overrun and then when i took it back, it wasn't my capital planet any longer. My max allegiance on all my planets were at 35%, which made me loose about 65% of everything i harvested or collected. A new capital and everything worked fine again! =)

Which brings me to another question, how do you increase the max allegiance at planets far away from your capital planet? The farther away, the less allegiance =( How's that going to work when you play big games with hundreds of planets?

Thanks again =)

Move your capital to make the farther planets less jumps away from your capital planet...

The only other way is to use Advent's 8th level Harmony research (forgot the name...) that increase all planets' allegiance by 10%...

Not strictly true - culture will grant a 10% lift in allegiance (once it builds up to it over a short time period)....

Okay, so if you've got far away planets, you'll just have to live with it?

If you can't get your capitol close enough, then yes.
