model help

Well I've succesfully created a model and implemented it into the game using the supplied documents with the forge tools. Please keep in mind that i've taught myself everything from scratch in the past few weeks, But i'm having a couple of problems with my models.

A) They're too small, is there anyway to rescale the complete model or set some value to make it bigger ingame? (1) I tried building the model bigger in XSI but it's the same size in game so im figuring this would be a value probably set with a null?

B) Texturing sux, anyone know a laimans terms guide to this? or able to explain a little more on it than ironclad did? I followed it to the "T" and basically got it to project black onto the mesh but it wasnt my actual texture image

Any help in these fields would be very much appreciated

P.S. Ill put up some screenshots when i actually get some more time just want to get the post going so if maybe somebody can help me w/o them

Oh i'm also working on an area of affect ability such as a smartbomb or doomsday from eve online, anyone attempted this or figured it out? How to make an ability do damage to all ships and structures within range to include friendly ships?

I believe there's some sort of transform locking in XSI that you need to do, to integrate scaling factors and rotations into the model itself so they export properly.

yes Kryo is right you have to freeze all transformations before you export it. you can do that by going to the transform bar and go to freeze all transformations. and here is a link to a tutorial about texturing and pretty much everything else made by soviet911.

hope this helps
