Help with particle forge basics

Well, I decided to download particle forge and see what I could do with it, make my own particles and all that.
To tell the truth, I don't really have a clue what I am doing. I searched the forums but I cant seem to find a tutorial or anything because of the abnormal search feature.. >.>

So, if someone could provide a link to a tutorial or just explain the basics to me, it would be greatly appriciated.

there isn't a tutorial and the program is relatively unintuitive (even so far as to have a fixed directory for textures :d)
