Media Center Edition

In my Sins folder, I noticed the following shortcut: "Sins of a Solar Empire-MCE". I heard that the initials MCE stand for "Media Center Edition". If so, then can anyone tell me what the difference is between the "normal" edition and this MCE? Does it use Windows Media Player to run the game or something?

I have no idea, but when I start the game using that link, it starts Media Center when I close the game.
