Activating mods and interface problems ?

How to do it when the "MODS" button isn't there to click ?

Ok... I know how wierd this sounds... This isn't my first time modding games and all... but this is just weird.

When I run the game and go to the options menu, I don't have a "MODS" button showing up anywhere !

And I did try searching through the forums about it, but all everyone says is : Options -> Mods then activate and restart.

Which would probably work... if I had the "MODS" button available at all.

Well... if anyone knows anything about this, please help... I just spent over an hour searching for solutions through the forums... but found nothing useful yet.

The mod button and support were added with the 1.02 patch, so you'll have to update to at least that to be able to run mods - though most of the popular mods should be updated for 1.05 and will most likely not run with earlier.

If there is no mods button, then you simply need to update the game. You're probably running 1.0 still.

Ah, thank you for the info !

I was pretty sure I was running 1.05 though... hmmm.

Well, time to update !

By the way, this might be a good info to add on a sticky or in a mod tutorial.

Even the tool download's PDF doesn't specify what minimmmu version is required.

Is it possible that you downloaded an "Evil Mod" that disables the mod button, and loads itself on startup...

(that would be an evil mod...(highly illegal too!))

Oh, and about the "EVIL", my nephew watched the "Avatar: the Last Airbender" finale, and he's been going around saying "I am Melon Lord, Mua ha ha" for the last couple of weeks, and I think it's rubbing off on me :d

... to the nearest psychiatric ward? I wasn't aware they needed tickets to get in these days. I always thought flailing your arms around wildly in public and crying out about the end of the world and little green men would be enough.

It's not insanity, I've just been drunk with power over my newfound ability to make SINS spaceships from scratch...

(What do you mean they are elephants? I thought they were Space Ponies!!!)
