IP not visible

i was so excited at the thought of the hosting issue being sorted out, i am werthless at sorting this stuff out :).
on the host test for me it says "IP not visible"  anyone know what this means ? or if it is an issue, havent been able to test properly to see if anyone can join my game as of yet havent seen anyone on multiplayer at all, this normal? come on guys i want a multiplayer game !!

I also got that error, but things seem to be fine.
When i open up the port 6112 in my router a get a green "ok"...

In version 1.1 BETA (v1.09) you do not need to "forward or open" any ports on your router.

The reason people are seeing "IP not visible" in the Hosting Test, is because most routers and firewalls block ICMP requests (PING). It's not an issue because as you will see in this thread you can ignore said message and host without problems.

uhh,
that depends on your router... basically you got webbased configuration page on your router... you should be able to access it via any browser. its adress is your standardgateway, use ipconfig to dertermine its ip if you are not sure...
once you entered the configuration module you can achieve the "open port" in at least two ways:
1. Do a port redirection to your PCs IP adress
2. Open up the port in the routers firewall

you should have a look into the documentation of your router...
