Sins closing randomly.

Something to do with Runtime.

I've got this error occasionally. It says that sins communicated with some runtime setting or application or something and shut down unnaturally. Does anyone know what this means?

A runtime error is a generic Windows error which means it couldn't execute whatever the program was trying to do and so it has to close it because it can't continue.

The error is usually something on the Windows side, as most crashes that are caused by Sins usually save a minidump (and you get a totally different error).

The Runtime exception error, unfortunately, provides no information about why the game crashed.

I have the same issue as you, just found the link above, will try setting stuff to high instead of highest. If that doesn't work will dl that hotfix and hopes that fixes it. Hope this helps one of us atleast.

Thanks for all your help. I hope this work, even though it doesn't happen that often.
