I was playing a singleplayer custom map, 2v2 the other day (v1.05). I had colonized the chokepoint planet of our 'end' of the star system, and was building up my fleet to assault the enemy colonies. My ally was also building up his fleet, and was gathering them around my planet. I gave him an attack order to help me invade the enemies' chokepoint colony, and he said okay. However, after waiting several minutes all they did was continually moved their fleet back and forth (very slightly) in my planet's grav well, occasionally sending one light frigate forward into the star before sending it back to his fleet. I tried resending the order, but the same behaviour occured.
Is this a known A.I bug for v1.05? If so is the AI being updated in 1.1? (Is it even a bug? ) It's a little frustrating, having to fight two enemy factions on my own.
(No idea where this should go, sorry if it's in the wrong forum.)
EDIT: Nevermind, they did attack eventually. They waited until they maxed out their fleet capacity. Not needed, but it gave them a huge advantage lol.
EDIT2: Okay, I'm beginning to think that my installation of Sins is really messed up lol. My ally had a flak frigate flying around as if it were a scout! I moused over it and the info-card showed it was "exploring". I thought only scouts do that...?
