Suggestion: Auto build squadrons, use buttons to change ratio

It is far too important to have squdrons in squadron capable ships and structures. It is also wasted effort, since it is obvious that they need to be built.

They should automatically build in an equal amount of bombers and fighers, and then the squadron button should instead be used to change the ratio. Clicking on the fighters will reduce the amount of bombers by one and increase the amount of figher squadrons. And vice versa.

This could save a lot of unnecessary micro management, and is reasonable from in game perspective (no planet would build a shiny new giant hanger and leave it empty, production of bombers and fighters would commence instantly)

I wrote a simular post last week. With 1.1, and Fighters/Bombers/Cruisers being as important as most other ships now, having to micromanage them (in addition to all your Handgers defences), is a monotonous task that really breaks the flow of the game. Even with the grouped button for them in the bottom right, you still have to do it with each and every carrier/hanger you make for the entire game. :p 

A friend of mine got Sins last week for his Birthday, and about his only complaint so far was "Is there a setting so I don't have to constantly pick fighters/bombers".

I hope the Devs will read this, or at LEAST a modder, and implement this; either a 50/50 fighter/bomber toggle, or, even better, a 25/75, 75/25 toggle too, or the dream of them all, a slider bar  The good news is, since the AI already does this itself, there is (obviously) already code to have this implimented. :D

While I agreed with the last post I saw from Annatar on why this wasn't needed, I do like the reasoning proposed in this thread. Completed carriers not having loaded squadrons is like Kodiaks not having autocannons unless you click a management button and enable them.

I don't think I really minded too much before 1.09, but now that you need to build lots of carriers, it takes like 10 times the clicks. Obviously, it would be have been hard for the Devs/Playtesters to have forseen this when all you had to worry about usually was Cap Ship's SC.

Well, keep in mind that you can still select all carriers at once and setup how many fighters/bombers you want. Shouldn't be that much clicking.

I dont that feature is needed.Clicking a few buttons wont take tooo long or hard to do.

well that, and I actually lost a planet before because I forgot to build them.

I mean, it kind of breaks the immersion... I can just see a plenet being bombed and the president issues an order to scramble all fighters and bombers to attack the menace killing our people. And an aid informs him that they have none because they forgot to build any. They build and have been maintaing giant expensive hangers in orbit, but left them void of any attack planes.
