Save Games Not Loading

I have had Sins since it came out, I have had no problems with the game and it has ran on full graphics. I can play the game normaly, save it and leave it to go back to later. When I load the game up from the 'load game' menu it continues to work fine, it all looks ok on the loading splash screen. The loading screen disappears and I am shown a black screen with just the curser showing.

I get the messege that says:
'The program has encountered a problem and has to close. Sorry for any inconvinience.'
Send / Don't Send.

Why has it suddenly started doing this, and how can I solve it.

I have the 7 Sins Mod running, but I cannot see that being the problem, I will try the game again later to see if it works without the mod on.

If you've recently updated your game to a newer version and the MOD hasn't been updated by the MOD-maker you are definately in for some issues...

Yeah, please post back if it works or not without the mod. The most likely case is like Monk said - you probably updated to 1.09b and are trying to load modded 1.05 games, or something :)

I have got patch 1.05 which I think is the latest. The mod which is 7 Deadly Sins by Danman, which is 1.3d and is updated for the latest patch (1.05.)

I have ran a small map which came with the game without the mod, no problems

I then ran the same map with two players as before, with the mod saved it and loaded it again, no problems

Then I tried to load the game that won't run, its on a custom map of mine , 6 stars for 6 players which is how many factions there are now with the mod installed, 356 planets. It won't run without the mod I get the mini-dump error as there is content from the mod in it. But, when I load it up I get the same problem as before with the black screen.

Could it be an error with the custom map?

I have deleted all the saves that wouldn't open, which happens to be all of them. Then I started a new game playing as Vasari on the same custom map. I played it for a while last night, saved it, gone to play on it again this afternoon and the same error has happened.

I also had a map as the rouges from the 7 sins mod on a large random map that came with the game and the same thing happened.

Is there anyway to move the save games from where they are to a folder more accessible, as it maybe that the game cannot find them.

Its as though the game can't detect the save files.
