Spawn Units and Structures on Map

I have searched around the Modding forum and could not find answers. So I ask my fellow modders.

How do you spawn units and structures on a custom map? I ask this because I want to create a "Proving Grounds" map. This map will allow me to test custom units and structures without having to research and purchase. I want to load a custom map with the unit and/or structure spawned and begin testing.

If someone has already created one, great! May I have the custom map as well?

Thanks in advance.

Essentially, a basic "homeworld" template it assigned to your starting planet, that tells it to spawn your constructors and frigate factory. You should be able to edit this template within Galaxy Forge and add stuff for it to spawn. I haven't used GF for a long time, but I think double clicking on the planet opens up the templates screen. That, or there's a right click option, but I'm leaning towards a double click.

Also you could download the developer's .exe and just spawn it ingame

Truth. With the developer .exe you can also make stat changes to those units on the fly and not have to re-load the game/mod.

CanadaMan777, What is the developer's *.exe file? Where can I download from Sins' website?

It's included in the mod tools in the Downloads section. Note that it has to be run from the root Sins install, where the Sins of a Solar Empire.exe is.

Thanks again for your help. But do any of you know how to spawn structure entities, like extractors, factories, research labs, etc.? I can spawn countless ships, give money, research, etc.

Don't know, but I think at least one of the maps does it...
