If I (or anyone for that matter) were to organize an unofficial tournament would anyone be interested?

I was thinking of trying a swiss tournament.  For those unfamilliar it has all the excitement of elimination tournaments, but nobody is actually eliminated.  The winners play other winners and losers play losers.  Everyone is matched to someone of similar skill ensuring exciting and balanced games.  Ultimately the winner is whoever has not been defeated, and in this way it's much like elimination.  (Example, 8 undefeateds play, and then there are only 4 undefeateds left, then 2, then they face off for the top spot.)

Teams and matches could be placed in a forum tread and then each team wold be responsible for contacting their opponent and setting a time to play during the next week (or whatever period of time we decide to have between rounds).

I think 2v2 would be fun, what does everyone think?
